What ZeroFi does in a crypto treasury transfer

ZeroFi is a Solana swap venue, not a wallet-to-wallet transfer rail; treasury teams may encounter it when an aggregator routes token conversions through its on-chain inventory.

What ZeroFi does in a crypto treasury transfer

Token Terminal describes ZeroFi as a Solana proprietary automated market maker, live since December 2024. It can execute a treasury’s token swap when an aggregator routes a trade through its on-chain inventory; it is not a service for moving funds between wallets or blockchains.

How does zerofi fit into treasury transfers?

ZeroFi fits at the conversion step: a treasury swaps one Solana asset for another, while the aggregator selects an available route and the swap settles on-chain. Token Terminal says almost all ZeroFi order flow comes from DEX aggregators, primarily Jupiter. For treasury staff reviewing a route, zerofi is one name to look for in the transaction record; the record can show which program executed the swap.

How does ZeroFi execute a swap?

Token Terminal says the operator places its own inventory in on-chain vaults and quotes prices through the ZeroFi program. Unlike a public pool funded by outside liquidity providers, this model trades against the operator’s inventory; the operator earns the spread in its quoted price. Solana’s account of proprietary AMMs describes the broader model: pricing is managed by a market maker, while an on-chain program handles execution.

That setup can give an aggregator another quote to compare with other routes. The trade-off is that the market maker controls the inventory and pricing strategy. Token Terminal says the operator has not disclosed its identity and publishes no documentation or social accounts.

What should a treasury check before using ZeroFi?

ZeroFi handles a swap, so teams should assess the swap separately from any later transfer to another wallet or chain. Token Terminal’s description supports three checks in the transaction and treasury workflow:

  • Confirm the input and output tokens and the Solana network.
  • Review the aggregator’s quoted output and the final amount received.
  • Record the transaction signature and verify the on-chain program used.

For most treasury teams, ZeroFi is best understood as a possible execution venue within an aggregator’s route, not as a transfer rail or a place to deposit treasury funds. Whether a route uses it depends on the aggregator’s quote at execution time; the operator’s identity and pricing strategy remain undisclosed, according to Token Terminal.
